Born on this day – James Horner:

Composer

August 14, 1953 – June 22, 2015

The list of movies scored by James Horner is long, but my favorites are Titanic, Avatar, Aliens, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Southpaw, and my all-time favorite, Field of Dreams.

The son of an Austria-Hungarian immigrant, as was my father, James died far too young.  Our hearts will go on, as his work will forever stand in testament to his talent.
