Andy Warhol - Artist, Director, Producer, and fellow Pittsburgh native and child of Austria-Hungary immigrants was born on this day in 1928.

When he was alive, I wasn't the biggest fan...found his art too 'pop-y' for me.

I've come to appreciate his life and legacy through many visits to The Andy Warhol Museum when I'm home in Pittsburgh.

If you have a chance when you're in the 'Burgh - visit!

My favorite parts of the museum are his self-portraits, the Cloud Room, and his Archive boxes.

Dick, directed by Andrew Fleming, written by Andrew Fleming and Sheryl Longin, was released in the United States on August 4, 1999.

I had no idea what to expect of this movie. I'd lived through Nixon as president and had watched him resign on live TV, but had no idea what this movie would be about.  It was HYSTERICAL!  Highly recommend if you need a good laugh.
