On days like these...

On any given day, I’m thankful that the MS that I’ve had (or had been diagnosed with) since 2002 doesn’t impact me in any dramatic way.

I work full-time, albeit flexibly, thanks to medical accommodation and an understanding employer.

But on days like these with temps in the upper 90s, ironically International Self-Care Day and National Tequila Day, even doing the smallest task warrants a post task 30-minute rest with feet up and something cold to drink.

Today, I dared cleaning the outside of our stainless-steel appliances….inside…with air conditioning on…but still ended up sweating, hair damp and curling (even more than usual)…wiped out.

MS has taught me that that I can’t always do everything I want to do to the extent I used to, but I can do most things, by downsizing my goal and planning downtime after each task.

Stay cool my MS Warriors out there.

First comes thought;
then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans;
then transformation of those plans into reality.
The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
