Seeing the Aurora Borealis for the first time – in the southern part of the U.S. - was a life changing experience.

We walked outside to our front yard as the International Space Station (ISS) made its way quickly across the sky.  Parts of the sky became translucent pink, with a little green near the horizon and whitish ‘fingers’ reaching across the sky from overhead contained within the translucent pink

With my eyes only, it looked like the remnants of a sunset, but the iPhone camera showed the amazing reality – I was seeing THE Aurora Borealis….in North Carolina! 

At the time, it felt very personal – an experience with only my husband and nature – but in the hours since, now realize this was a global, human experience – with all around the world experiencing the same sky – pink, green, whitish ‘fingers’ overhead.

I am one with all that is the universe; I trust in the wisdom of the universe.

We are one.
